What Is A Water Vending Machine? The owners or the master franchisor of the machines makes an arrangement with the shopowner to connect them to water and electricity at their premises. For the shop owner the machines are another source of revenue and also advertising. The shop owners and the machine owner arrange for a profit-share, where the shop owner retains about 25 –35% of all takings and the owner of the machine keeps the rest of the money. Once the machine is installed ( usually on the outside entrance/exit points to the shop) customers can now bring their own bottles and containers and fill these up with sweet pure water, cold water or flavoured water. They put the corresponding amount of money into the machine and press the right amount vending button. The owner of the machine just has to look after his machine that it is clean and in proper working condition (about once a week), take out the money and share it with the shop owner on the agreed basis. Typical places for installation are: A) The manufacturer and inventor concentrates on the manufacturing and product development side of the business. He has to look after the guarantee and is responsible for parts and service B) The master franchisor or masterdistributor enters into an agreement with the manufacturer to franchise, sell and distribute in a certain geographic area. He finds and negotiates for places of installation, he organizes for the installation and does central advertising and promotion. He looks after his franchisees in all aspects. C) The franchisee or owner of the machines purchases machines from the masterfranchisor/distributor. It is his responsibility to service his machines and ensure that good relations are maintained with the shopowner. The franchisor has the most work to do in setting up a proper organization with franchisees. He also needs to invest a considerable amount of money in purchasing machines and keeping them in stock. The owner/franchisee has the least amount of work to do. The machines, which are his investment, earn the money for him. He just has to check on them on a regular basis. His investment can start from one machine, which he can operate on a part-time basis and then start growing as the business grows. Once he owns and operates about 10 machines, the income from these machines should more then provide him with a good income and excellent return on his investment. The franchisor has the most work to do in setting up a proper organization with franchisees. He also needs to invest a considerable amount of money in purchasing machines and keeping them in stock. Usual turnover = usual profits as there is no product to pay for, all your takings are just about pure profits ( less commission for shopowner and a small franchise fee) This business is new to New Zealand, but we have very good comparison figures from other countries: Typical average takings: A) USA range between NZ $ 8 000 to NZ $ 12 000 p.a. per machine B) Guam between NZ $12 000 to NZ 20 000 p.a. per machine C) Australia between NZ $8 000 to NZ $15 000 p.a. per machine Although we do not know as yet, what the average takings in NZ will be, we are confident that also here a highly profitable average will be achieved. We offer a ground floor opportunity for people, who want to start their own successfull and profitable business with little or hardly any risks involved. A cash business that can become a big operation or that can be a small sideline and parttime operation. One thing is for sure, your return on your investment will be better then anything the bank can ever offer to you. And the risks are very small. If a water vending machine does not achieve the turnovers and profits to provide for a good return, then it is easy to relocate this machine to a better location. And if you decide at some stage to sell your established business, you can sell it with a capital gains. Or if you decide to quit and get out of the business for any other reason, then we will be happy to re-purchase your machine at an agreed upon price subject to its overall condition and age. |
